Anderson .Paak

While Anderson Paak is one of my favorite musicians these days, I’ve avoided writing about him. He certainly doesn’t have the popularity of a Kendrick or J. Cole but I assumed that most people were already familiar with his work. I don't need to write about musicians that everyone is already listening to. 

Last week I took out the product management and design teams at work for pizza, drinking, and even some fun but cringe-worthy freestyling. The third bar of the evening was playing nonstop Paak. It turned out that in this group - a group I consider to be pretty up to date with new music - only one person had heard of Anderson Paak. A random survey of strangers at the bar came up cold as well. I was shocked. 

The silver lining to this utterly confusing pop culture blindspot is that now I get to share him with you.
